About Me
My story begins much like everyone else’s who is on this infertility journey. I fell in love with an amazing man and after getting married we decided we wanted to start a family. We both assumed it would be simple, we are both young (I’m 24 and he’s 25) and extremely healthy people. As far as we knew having a baby should have been pretty easy for us. But after a year of trying to conceive we still weren’t pregnant, so we decided to consult a fertility specialist. After extensive testing the doctors couldn’t find any problems with me or my my husband. I was given the diagnosis of unexplained infertility. We are now at the point in our treatment where IVF is our only option to get pregnant.
My husband is a Technical Directing Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis and is also a hockey referee. I am a photographer and writer. I am also going to school to finish my degree and become a teacher. We met in our hometown in Michigan and were married a year after dating in a small private ceremony. We have two big dogs who are very excited to be big brothers someday.
